I have been an Amazon.com affiliate since shortly after they created their affiliate program.
Way back then, I was a systems administrator and registered my first domain called need-sleep.com and opened the Hyper-Dimensional Book Nook. The web was new and it was easier to get visitors. I was thrilled when I started getting checks from Amazon.com just for recommending books. I was hooked on affiliate marketing at that point.
