Good morning.

I just changed the settings on this blog to disable comments on articles older than 30 days. I’m considering leaving the site up for awhile, but will not be posting to it any more.

The main reason I want to leave it up is because of all the links to the sites of the people who have commented here. Over time, the value of those links will degrade, but they may be worthwhile for bringing you some visitors in the short term.

Wow John, I seen your post title come across my feed email and I was hoping it wasn’t something like this. My prayers are with you and I hope everything works out.

I’m shutting most of my sites down too and I think I’m going to leave the blogs online for two reasons. One, to let the links stay active for those that commented and second, I’ll run AdSense on them. I’ll close comments in a couple of weeks so maintenance will be all but eliminated. That’s just a thought for you, that is, if you keep a hosting account.

On a personal note John, I’ve always been impressed with your dedication to your local community, Murphy, and I know you to be a stand up and caring guy. Your posts have indirectly helped me stay focused and I appreciate the work you have shared. I hope you beat this monster quickly and come back stronger than ever very soon.
