21st Century Affiliate Marketing

News and views about affiliate marketing in the 21st century

Keep on trying

September 7th, 2009 by John Dilbeck

For the last few weeks, I admit that I’ve been feeling sorry for myself because I’ve had to face so many obstacles and make so many changes in my marketing business.

All of that comes to an end right now.

No more.

It’s time to face the obstacles, set new goals, evaluate new products, and start promoting again.

I got to thinking about that when I read the address that President Obama will give to students tomorrow. I wrote about it on my John Dilbeck and Friends blog: President Obama’s Speech to Students.

Even though I’m still confronting a lot of conflicting feelings and thoughts about affiliate marketing — and marketing in general — it’s time to look for the positive aspects and not concentrate so much on things I don’t like about it.

I’ve resolved not to do the things I don’t like, so now it’s time to resolve to do the things I do like and enjoy.

So, you can look forward to me talking much more about affiliate marketing programs and products I like and much, much less about the struggles to overcome obstacles.

I really do love affiliate marketing and look forward to getting back into it with a much more positive attitude.

Act on your dream!

Hey John, I feel it’s always best to deal with the positive aspects of life, whether it’s in affiliate marketing or in your day to day living. Sure negative aspects will always filter through but I deal with them depending on it’s importance. If they need to be overcome I do what I can, if they are just a blip in the daily grime that doesn’t really affect what I am doing and a merely a pain in the ass I discard it and put it behind me.

As to you President, I wish our Prime Minister was more like him, instead he is just a blow hard that talks a lot of gobbledygook.

Now that’s the better way to go. It’s always best to decide to look for the positives in life and work and move forward. Of course, sometimes we have to allow ourselves the depression time; trust me, I’ve been there. I’m looking forward to seeing the best you have to offer. ;) Mitch´s last blog ..No, Reading And Creativity Are Obsolete My ComLuv Profile

    Good evening.

I want to thank each of you for your comments and support. I appreciate it.

This is the first time I’ve been online in about a week. I started feeling bad last Monday and by Tuesday, I was feeling terrible. It took a week to get over the fever, cramps, and other things I won’t mention here, but I’m finally feeling better and am getting back to work, slowly.

Now, I have to go through about a 1,000 emails.

I’ll be back, hope to see you, too.

    Good morning, Ravi.

You’re absolutely right. We all face hard times now and then and it can be a challenge to get through them and back to the good times.

Of course our efforts aren’t always rewarded, but I don’t think they will be if we quit or don’t keep changing to do our best at the time.

I don’t plan on quitting, but it has been difficult to find a new affiliate marketing model that will work for me. I’m still working on it.

I think when a person sets a goal and map out a plan to achieve it, its the beginning of the nightmare as you will face all sort of obstacles and things will not go your way and you will feel dishearten and distraught not knowing what to do next, but the real step starts then n there at that situation when you steer up your courage and say No i am not going to give up, no matter what come! Then the real journey begins when you star paving you way to success.

Even those of us with the most positive outlook can hit the ground face down sometimes. It’s great that you realized you’ve been down in the dumps and decided to pick yourself up. Your experience is a valuable lesson to us all. It could happen to anyone and this is how we should handle it. Thank you.

    Good afternoon, James.

I’m not sure, but I think this is your first time commenting here, so welcome to our discussions.

    Yes, I agree.

When you set goals, map out a plan to achieve them, and then start working that plan, you’re bound to run into all sorts of obstacles.

Perseverance in pursuing your goals is not as easy as some would have us believe and you’re right when you say that “the real journey begins when you star paving you way to success.”

    Good afternoon, M.P.

Welcome to our discussions and thank you for the kind words of support.

You’re absolutely right when you say, “Even those of us with the most positive outlook can hit the ground face down sometimes.”

Sometimes it happens with no warning at all and other times there is a slow build that eventually knocks us to the ground.

As long as we learn from our mistakes and get up one more time than we get knocked down, we’ll eventually find the success we seek.

    Act on your dream!
