		<description>Good afternoon, A. UK.

I agree; making continuous updates is a very important part of the marketing process, especially when you depend upon blogs and websites as much as I, and many of us, do.

I won&#039;t go into all the reasons that I wasn&#039;t able to do that for the last couple of years, but I&#039;m happy to be past that period in my life and I&#039;m looking forward to being much more creative in the future.

In fact, I think that&#039;s going to be the main topic in my next Act On Your Dream! newsletter. I&#039;m going to try to write it and publish it today or tomorrow.

		<description>Good morning, Ravi.

The only two real advantages that a public bookmarking site has over privately bookmarking on your own computer are:

1. You can easily share them with others.

2. You can access them easily, even if you are away from your own computer.

There may be others, but those are the two that come immediately to mind.

If neither of them are important to you, then perhaps there&#039;s no reason to use Delicious or its competitors.

		<description>Good afternoon, Mitch.

I agree. I don&#039;t bookmark everything I write on Delicious, but I do bookmark things that I think may be of value to others. That&#039;s the point of adding them to a public bookmarking site.

I don&#039;t know for sure, but I&#039;m guesstimating that about 40% or more of the bookmarks I have on Delicious are links to things that other people wrote, and that percentage will go up now that I have the time and energy to do more.

		<description>Good morning, Barbara.

I have a couple of domains that are used only for redirecting (mostly) affiliate links. When I got dropped by Amazon.com and a few others because I live in NC, the first thing I did was go through and change those redirects. Some I change to point to other similar products and services, but others were change to point to a blog post that told why I no longer recommended a particular company.

I try to use these redirects as much as possible, especially on sites I don&#039;t own and control, but sometimes forget.

As far as updating my Act On Your Dream! site, I have lots more to do with that site. I have several hundred pages planned, but never had the time or energy to build them. Now that things in my life are settling down, that will become one of my top priorities over the coming months.

<description>My experience with bookmarking sites is only through automated bookmarking softwares.

I have never used it the way you guys do. But I am considering using it to keep track of my favorite sites - not sure when I will do it though.

<description>I use Delicious, but I don&#039;t put every single article on there. Maybe half of my articles are there, and I don&#039;t have a problem with that.

<description>Lots of success on your rebuild! I can relate to updating things that went out of date - it can take quite a lot of effort. I always figure I can reset the landing pages to something else more up-to-date. I&#039;ll have to look into your idea!
