I just went and looked at their help files regarding usernames and I see that Facebook support can remove a username, but I don’t see any way for a user to revert to not using one.

Did you create a username, but can’t reach your profile using it?

Have you tried going to your profile using the old URL and seeing if it redirects to the one with a username rather than a number?

I don’t know anything about being able to delete it.

You may have to try contacting Facebook support.
