Lynn Terry asks if you’re in or out with Twitter
Filed under: Blogging, Business Networking, Social Networking, Twitter
Lynn Terry has a great discussion going on her blog post and comments at Twitter: Are you IN or OUT?
It took me a long time to see the value in Twitter and that only came after I found the right group of people to follow. Along the way, I’ve followed a lot of people and unfollowed quite a few.
Now, I’m following some very interesting people who are interested in blogging, Squidoo, CafePress, affiliate marketing, and other things that interest me and are a major part of my business.
In fact, I learned about Lynn’s post because of a tweet from one of the people I’m following. Cool, huh?
If you’re interested in Twitter and want to join her conversation, jump on in.
Twitter: I used to be OUT, but now I’m definitely IN.

I did go there and respond to the question in the affirmative. I actually have liked it from the beginning, but was irritated enough by all the blackouts to write two blog posts about it. Seems to be acting right lately; about time. lol
Hi Mitch,
The way I use Twitter, the blackouts didn’t bother me.
Now that I’m using Twitter more, and trying to get better at it, system down time would probably be more bothersome.
I agree. I haven’t had any problems with Twitter lately (at least none that I know of).

That must be my problem then, I must be following the wrong crowd. There a some that just leave a whole lot of garbage. I reckon, again time willing, I will have to block the morons had get me some quality contacts

Hi Sire,
My whole experience with Twitter improved when I pruned the list of the people I was following.
Then, I used http://search.twitter.com to find people talking about the companies, people, affiliate programs, and other topics in which I was interested. I started following the people I found there.
Now, when someone follows me on Twitter, I’ll follow him/her, for a least a couple of weeks. If I’m learning or enjoying the tweets, I’ll continue. If not, I unfollow.
Over time, I’m getting more value from Twitter as I fine tune it for my interests.
