I think it is appropriate to start a new blog on the first day of a new year.

Originally, I started this blog to test the free blogging service at WordPress.com and to try out version 2.0 of WordPress without having to install it and deal with any bugs in a new version. Already, I like version 2. I’m going to wait awhile before updating my other WP blogs, but I like what I’m seeing in the new version.

Enough of that. Let’s get back to the new year.

I enjoyed the holidays; now back to work.

I had a good time during the holiday season this year.

It was nice to take some time off to spend with family and friends. I especially enjoyed visiting my daughter, son-in-law, and grandkids.

Mom broke her leg about three weeks ago and is currently mending and undergoing rehab in a local nursing home. I enjoyed visiting her and having our Christmas dinner together. She’s looking forward to coming home, but it will probably be several more weeks.

My gift theme for this season must have been dragons. I got two outstanding books with dragons being the primary theme of both.

Now, it’s a new year and time to get back to work.

My goal in 2006 is to help as many people as I can to promote their businesses and get more customers.
